Always enjoyed playing in Washington Square as a kid in the 50s. Sat on top of that deer on many occassions. Lived across the street from the park. Many do not know there was a hole in the belly of the deer and apparently the grounds keeper or a neighbor kept a bottle hidden there. A. Hardee
Lived on Selma St. Played at the park all the time. Yes the deer had a hole, I think it was more to it's right lower side. Don't remember them putting water in the pool but a couple of times.
